Nobody in this house asks "what's for dinner" anymore
Built with Claude · ChatGPT
“What’s for dinner” used to be a daily negotiation in our house, held at the worst possible hour, with the fridge already open. Nobody asks it anymore.
meal-os plans our week of meals, keeps the grocery list current, and fills a real cart at a real supermarket. It knows what the kids actually eat (not what I wish they ate), what’s already in the pantry, and which nights nobody has energy to cook. My only remaining job is to pay.
I built it for my family and it’s staying that way for now — it’s shaped around our fridge, our supermarket, our picky eaters. But it taught me more about building useful AI than anything else I’ve made, mostly because the users live with me and complain immediately.
